Deepest condolences to all the Gallagher family. I met Ron in St. Mel’s in 1950 and we were lifelong friends. He helped enormously building our house in Coosan, Athlone and I have many happy memories of both Brid and Ron over the years.

Peggy and I were very sorry to hear of Ronnies passing. Ronnie was my good friend ever since I met him in U C D IN THE 1950s. Our friendship continued in College and thereafter in Clancy Bks and in the following years. Ronnie was such a personality-----larger than life. He was a first class Engineer and had so many other interests and hobbies. He was great
company and had time for everyone and was kind and caring. He and
Brid were such a lovely couple and we have such happy memories of those Annual New Year Eve parties in their house. They both cheristed
their children and were so proud of their achievements in their chosen careers. My his gentle soul rest in peace, as he is reunited with his beloved Brid.

We are all saddened to hear the news of Uncle Ron's passing. A great energetic and intelligent character whom we looked forward to seeing on his visits to Cork as children. He always showed such interest in our lives and was much loved by our parents, Paddy and Marianne.
