My sicerest sympathy to all the family of Luke Brady. I was in Lukes english class at St Declans, from 1970 -75. As a teacher he was inspiring, passionate and held in great respect by our class. He was a truely modern teacher, that did not need to use discipline to control the class, but humour and warmth.

I remember he had retired 3 years before graduation, and he made a point of coming over from spain i belive it was to be there for the graduation for his past students. One of my fondest memories of St Declan’s was of playing on the school soccer team under his management.

In later years I would meet him occasionally around Roselawn. He was never without a smile on his face and always took a genuine interest in how you were getting on in life. A most decent and genuine human being.
