Deepest sympathy from all of us in Cystic Fibrosis Ireland. Luke was a great charity ambassador for the cause of CF and transplant related issues. His work will help many others. He was also just a really great guy and I was honoured to know him.
Dear Helen, David and family,

I'm so sorry for the loss of Luke. I managed the Taney girls soccer team for a couple of years and Luke was their brilliant coach. Not only did he teach really good soccer skills; he inspired, motivated and brought huge positivity to the children (and the adults) - I saw the girls team thrive and shine under his leadership to the point where they were winning matches, but more importantly they connected as a team that mirrored Luke's way of bringing out the best in others. Our family, and many others, will always think of him when we think about what true leadership is. He will be truly missed.
Deepest sympathy Helen and Emma on the passing off your cherished son and brother Luke. His life was too short. May he rest in peace.

It's with great sadness to hear Luke passing. It was far too early for him to be taken. He and his family are in my thoughts. My deepest condolences
I remember in 1st Yr he was one the first persons who sat beside me, we instantly formed a friendship. We sat beside each other in registration and every class we did together for maybe 3 years until the group was split in 4th year ... but we remained close friends throughout the remainder of school.
He was one of a kind. Full of joy, confidence and determination. We laughed our way through many classes back in the day. He will always have a place in my heart, and the hearts of many.
My deepest condolences to all of his family and friends in this difficult time.

To Helen , Emma and family. I was shocked to hear of Lukes passing . Luke in spite of his health issues was always a character in his interactions with his friends , and activities. As an NCO in BB 5th Coy I will always remember that he was a great guy to have around every Friday night . which met in his home church , Dundrum Methodist. May the Lord whom he loved , surround you all with His peace and comfort and a very real sense of His presence in this time of trouble in these days and months ahead .

My Condolences to Luke's family. Luke was one of my very best friends during our time together in school in Newpark and after. I am very honored to have spent some amazing times with Luke like when we went up to Garten adventure centre in 4th year and then again for my Stag 10 years later just before I got married.

I only have that most amazing things to say about Luke and I have no doubt alot of people feel the same way as I do about him. I always loved his drive for life. He was always doing something whether it was building his PT business or doing S&C coaching with various different teams. He never let anything hold him back from doing the things he most wanted to do.

Luke was the kind of friend that would always put his friends ahead of himself and I was very lucky to have spend the time I did with him. We will all miss him very much. Rest well my friend and know you will always be with us.

With deepest sympathy and prayerful remembrance.
Dear Helen, Emma, David n wider family.
I'm shock with Luke's departure. I'm gutted I can be there in person.
I've been nudged to think n pray for Luke this past week, now I know why.
When reading a poem by Joyce Grenfell I hear n see Luke's cheery smiling face.
Here is the poem
"Death (if I should go)"
If I should before the rest of you
Break not a flower nor inscribe a stone
Nor when I'm gone speak in a Sunday voice
But be the usual selves that I have known
Weep if you must
Parting is He'll
But life goes on
So sing as well.

I'll see a tune for him tomorrow.
Love you all
