Luke Johnson

I was very saddened to hear the news of Luke's passing. He was always a pleasure to deal with. My condolences go out to his colleagues in QQI and his family and friends.

I would like to offer my condolences to the Johnson family. I have fond memories of Luke, a gentleman out and out.

So sorry to hear the sad news that Luke has passed on. It is more than 40 years since l last met Luke. My strongest memory is of him striding through the canteen in Plassey, his long brown overcoat swinging out behind him, a head of curls, a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eyes. He was good and kind - a special person. A candle lit for all who mourn him.

What a great man whose good humour and wit ensured all were in good humour.
Unfortunately like took us in different directions and we lost contact. but I still often smile when I remember Luke at our weekly club dives off the west coast.
