Heartbroken to hear of the passing of our dear friend and beloved colleague, Luke.
Luke made the good days in work great, and the bad days more tolerable. Always brightening up the place as he went, with his kind nature and infectious smile.
He adored his two boys, who he spoke about often with such pride. Sending all my love to Luke's family at this awful time.
I will miss you terribly, Luke. "Thanks for coming in!" RIP.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Luke’s tragic passing.

Luke was more than just a theatre porter at Beaumont he was a friend, a calm presence during busy shifts, always ready with a smile or a helping hand. I’ll always remember how he once quietly sorted out a last minute equipment issue so the show could go on his professionalism and kindness were truly unmatched.

My heart goes out to Kelly, Jack and Mason, his dad Paul, all his siblings, and the entire theatre team who worked alongside him daily. Beaumont Hospital won’t be the same without Luke’s warmth and generosity.

There are no words that can touch the depth of what you're going through right now. The suddenness of losing luke, we can only imagine the weight of grief you're carrying. We re sorry for your loss.

Kelly & boys:

Your boys have lost their father, but they still have their incredible mother. And that mother has a whole community who loves her and will not let her face this darkness alone.

Luke s love lives on in those beautiful boys and in the countless ways he touched all lives in hia family,friends and work. His memory will be their strength, and your love will be their foundation.

Dear McLoughlin family,

All of us in Neurosurgery in Beaumont worked with Luke for years. We all loved him and he helped us brilliantly with all the very ill neurosurgical patients in difficult circumstances, bringing them down from the wards, into the anaesthetic room, getting them set up for surgery in the operating room. He was a wonderful man, always smiling, always having the craic about football, always joking with David O'Brien and me in theatre and always being a great help to us. All my colleagues and I trusted him to do the job and he always did it. Please accept our sincere condolences.
