Margaret i just heard about you losing your beautiful boy....i remember how delighted you were when he was born we used to chat about him at work in the blood bank...such happy years. I cant imagine your pain and hope remembering happier days with Luke will give you some comfort.

We are greatly saddened by this news, Luke was a past pupil of Corpus Christi and is remembered fondly by his fellow pupils and teachers as an intelligent, fun loving and caring pupil who endeared all who knew him. Thank one and all for your kind words. Unfortunately the internet was down in the area so Luke's beautiful and fitting funeral Mass was not available to view. The out-pouring of love, kindness and solidarity is overwhelming and humbling. When Luke comes to mind, please light a candle and say a prayer, thank you and include anyone, anywhere, known and unknown too.

I am so sad to hear of Luke's death. I had the honour of being his teacher in Junior Infants. His talents and abilities shone through and I learned a lot from him. My deepest sympathy to his mum Margaret, Roy, Sylvia, Clodagh, Callie and all who were close to him.

I used to play gigs with Luke and My Mind Races years ago. Luke wrote one of my favourite Irish songs - Scars. It became very influential to me as a fellow songwriter. He was a great natural musical talent, a rare gifted person. But besides that, he was one of the nicest guys you could meet. An absolute genuine bloke that is so rare to come across.

My deepest condolences to the family and friends. We have had some great memories that I will be keeping with me.

Luke will be truly missed, and it is a huge loss to the Irish music scene.
