Mabel, how the world will miss you. Nobody could possible take your place, you were a shining light in TLC. I loved your friendly, funny, happy presence. Heaven has gained a very bright star.

I just want to add my belated condolences to Mable's family on her passing. I knew Mable from when my own Mam was a resident in TLC and from the music sessions there on a Sunday. She was lovely, funny , mischievous lady and had a heart of gold . She will be sadly missed as everybody loved Mabel Kevin Ball

Today is the one day that I feared the most. As I'll say heartfelt goodbye to my Mum, Mabel marsh. But, through all the sadness of her sudden passing in the end, I sought comfort and a mixture of tears of not just sadness, but as strange as it may sound, after reading all the wonderful tales of my Mum and her adventures of sneaking in her beloved "Choc Choc" into her room in the nursing home, I couldn't help but at the same time finding a smile somehow turning this very sad day into a more bearable day.

I wholeheartedly thank each and every one of you, my dear friends for your messages of love and support for me and indeed my Mum at this heartbreaking time. And to her friends and staff members at the TLC, God Bless each and every one of you for your kind and heartwarming messages that you left on the condolences section of the RIP website. As the good Reverend Ruth Nobel pointed out to me, it was very unusual to see so much love in the messages that have been posted on there.
Will sign off now. As my Mum, God Bless her, in less than half an hour will become, not just a legend in the TLC, but an internet star in her own right, as Skype will record her funeral service today at 10am.

Knew Mabel as a neighbour. A lovely lady who was so houseproud, and loved cooking. She had a few of her recipes published in the best food magazines. I used to visit her in TLC, and she loved those visits. I remember the earlier requests for Fry' s Chocolate. May you rest in peace, Mabel.

The many kind condolence messages here alone are testimony to how popular and loved Mabel was while residing at TLC. Let's hope that there is a divine source of both choc choc and drinking chocolate readily available for this sweet lady who will undoubtedly be very much missed by all who knew her. Vale Mabel. So sorry to hear of Mabel’s passing. Such a lovely lady. Like many of the TLC city west team and visitors I got many a hug from Mabel over the years. The last one in February was the biggest ever when my mam passed away My thoughts are with all the TLC team who must be heartbroken at her loss.

We certainly miss and mourn all our residents when they pass away but sometimes that special person comes in to our lives and our work and you stop to notice and you know they have that impact on everyone. That was our Mabel whom we loved and will miss greatly. There better be hot chocolate and Fry’s chocolate up there or else there will be trouble.
