It is with great shock and sadness that we learned of the death of Madeleine. Our sons attended Madeleine's Montessori school. She was such a caring, kind person to all the children who were in her care and they were well prepared for National school. In subsequent years I often met her in PACO and she always enquired as to how they were getting on.

To Madeleines brother's sister's and extended families we are truly sorry to learn of Madeleines passing.Madeleine was a true lady who cared for all the little children in her Montessori and prepared them for the next big step in their lives. There were
lots of friendships formed from Madeleines school. Madeleine also took care of our son in the afternoons taking him out to her family home etc for which we never forgot. While meeting Madeleine out and about she was always interested to hear how our Son was getting on. Madeleine was a very special

I was so sorry to hear of Madeleine’s passing. She was such a kind and warm-hearted soul, and I will always remember her fondly particularly from visits to P and Philomena with my mum (Gertie) when I was young. Jim, Mary, Carmel, Kathleen, Ann, Eithne, Patricia and Peter, and all Madeleine's nephews & nieces. Fond memories of hooking up in New York in September, 1981, ascending the Empire State Building (which your Aunty Kathleen Fitzpatrick (née Gaffney) had done some 50 years earlier!), and both losing - and retrieving - a $100 bill which I managed to drop down a NYC subway ventilation grate/grille on a rush-hour busy Times Square pavement... a team effort!
