Paul, Geraldine, Annette, Martina. Our sincere condolences to you all. Your Mam's passing brings to an end an era of extraordinary women who lived around us and raised good families through sometimes tough and diffucult times. I remember your Dad and Mam moving in and my family and yours became good friends for many years. The 60's,70's and 80's were decades of recession, industrial duspute, extortionate taxation and lack of sick pay and social welfare. Despite these difficulties the group of women of your Mam's generation kept their families fed and clothed, made sure they were educated and in the main well behaved. They should be the perfect role model to society as to how it can and should be done. Your Mam lived a long and rewarding life,raised a family with her husband Vinnie to be proud of and was a good neighbour that we will miss. May she rest in the peace she deserves.
