Madeline and Martin lived next-door to me when I lived in Longsight as a child. I remember Madeline as a great home maker and earth mother. She always put others before herself. God she was a great woman, she knitted us many’s a lovely jumper when we were young. Herself and ‘Uncle’ Martin had the patience of saints with us little ones at bonfire nights! Always a friendly house to visit with the best garden, she will be missed by us all.
