So sad to hear of Madge’s passing and Michael and I remember her fondly along with you all from my childhood. Your generosity I will always remember during New Year’s Eve parties opposite the Iveagh Market and Tony with the sweeping brush sweeping out the old year! 2021 has taken so many great people and Madge was one of them our families have grown up together and as was said by her family in church today the Meath Street Church was a big part of it your mam and our mam will be sadly missed there forever and today. The send off that your family gave your mam with all the participation of the family members was so touching and you did your mam so proud.

So very sorry to hear about Mrs Clabby passing away. Myself and my son met her years ago at concerts and she was so lovely. Got a lovely hug off her once. She was a little sweetheart. I remember Hallowe’en parties and dancing around the statue on New Year’s Eve each year singing Auld Lang Syne with all your neighbours and a lot of kind spirit and good feelings. You are the first and the last of a generation of Comerfords and an example of strength for generations to come. A trooper, they are calling you over here. You leave behind the legacy of a beautiful family and probably the saddest man in the world, Tony, still devoted to you.

Tony I am very sorry to hear of Madgé's death. I have very fond memories of you both trying to teach me to dance the Square tango (in vain) at North Great George's St back in the 1950s with the rest of the gang. I still have a photo of the three of us with your very young family at the grotto in Donore Ave Church. You and your family will be in my prayers as a candle burns in my home on Monday

We have such fond memories of spending our honeymoon with you all, and the Meath st and Darndale girl guides of course, in Italy.
