Madge, may your pure and beautiful soul, always happy and smiling.go to Heaven. when i first met Madge, my sister Bernadette Craig,s lovely friend in their flat in Ranelagh rd, Dublin.i was in my youth and i shared a room with Madge , my sister Bernie and Anne and Fionnula.shared the flat. I eas waiting tios to start my training as a nurse in the Richmond Hosp. I grew to like her company she was funny and we laughed alot.maybe she enjoyed me as i loved to chat.i missed home. We went to the pictures in the green cinema, once The Frozen Dead was the film.Scary.it was the late viewing.Dublin was much safer that time.Very late when we came back to our tiny rm. at the back in the basement, she kew i was nervous, we chatted from ou r tiny single beds. Next thing we heard a bang in the hall. Madge jumped out to look i was scared she came back laughing the bulb ftom ceiling had fallen on cement floor and never broke, That made us worse. Never forgot. The sad thing after leaving Dublin, we never met we had met
at my .sisters weddings . In Dublin.A friend a nurse Alice Keeley had nursed with me,in Ballina Hos. Later she moved to live with Pat rip.in louth Village village.she told me about meeting this secretary in the drs surgery and it was Madge, i sent her my love but never got to meet her.again.
