Sincere condolences to all Mae's family. I worked with Mae In Booths in Mohill many years ago and she never failed to keep in touch at Christmas time each year since. She had such a kind heart. I'll miss our chats and our lifelong friendship.

He told me her name and that she was going to sing now. A rapt silence when Mae sang, that shows the admiration they had for her. We were sitting near to where she stood. Fond memories of the late Mae Malone (RIP) and her husband the late John A (RIP), at many farming and political events and functions down through the years. Always a pleasure to met and most of all enjoyable. A pure lady and a powerful singer. Sorry that I can not attend the removal or funeral Mass, but I in Melbourne, Australia at present. To all the relatives and friends of Mae we offer our sincerest sympathy and condolences on her passing. Mae, and John A, were unique characters in the hinterland of North Roscommon and South Leitrim and indeed afar when it came to the bull sales in Carrick. Mae live a wholesome and holy life and she will now be rewarded in eternal peace and joy with her beloved John A.

It is with a heavy heart that we give our Condolences to Mae's Sisters Kitty, Eva, the Holahan, Reynolds and Skeffington families on the sad passing of Mae. She was a lifelong friend and was gifted with a beautiful voice. She enhanced many a stage. Only a few months ago she sang for the clients in the Plunkett Home Boyle. She was a very kind and pleasant person, and did countless charitable works for many Organisations in Leitrim Roscommon and further a field. May the Lord reward her for her good deeds. Slán abhaile Mae you will now be joining the choir of angels and be reunited with your beloved John A.
