I have only just heard the sad news of Mae's passing. I was only starting out on my teaching career when I had the privilege of working alongside Mae in Kilbarron N.S.. Not only did she give me good advice on many occasions, she also, together with her beloved Denis welcomed me into their home. A nicer, kinder couple you couldnt meet. My sincere condolences to her four children, of whom she spoke of with great pride so often, and their families. Mae is now reunited with Denis in their heavenly home. May their gentle souls rest in peace.

In loving memory of a devoted and highly talented colleague with whom it was my privilege to work for 29 years.
Excelling in all aspects of education, including music as choir leader in Kilbarron, she gave her pupils a foundation for which they shall be eternally grateful.
Mae endeared herself to the noble people of Kilbarron who appreciated her whole-hearted commitment to their community. She will live in our hearts forever.
She came from 'lovely Leitrim where the river Shannon flows '. She is laid to rest near the Shannon in Terryglass.
May God grant her eternal happiness.
