Having worked for over thirty years I remember her as having been an excellent teacher, colleague and friend. We had many laughs on staff nights out and at sometimes very heated science meetings which I had usually to try and control.(usually unsuccessful). She will be sorely missed by all of her students and work colleagues both active and retired from St Colman’s.Rest in peace Maeve.Eddie

Very sorry for the loss of ms Barry , she wasn’t only my teacher for 3 years but she was my favourite teacher and will continue to be my favourite teacher , I will never forget the laughs we had and won’t ever forget the memories.

I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Ms. Barry and my thoughts and prayers are with her family. An incredibly inspiring and motivating teacher, Ms. Barry taught me maths and chemistry in St. Colman's and these were my favorite subjects no doubt because of her. Her guidance and advice sent me down the career path I did and I owe much of what I have to her. I often thought of her over the years and hoped to see her again one day to thank her for everything she did for me. I cherish the fond memories I have of her and in particular the eventful chemistry lab experiments! A beautiful soul, may she fly with all the angels in heaven. Thank you Ms. Barry, from the bottom of my heart.

She was a great colleague at St. Colmans who always wanted the best for her students and approached her work with enthusiasm and dedication.
