Sincere sympathy to Clare, Peter and David on the death of your dear mother, Maeve. I was very saddened by this news. Maeve joined Dun Laoghaire Choral Society in its first season in the early 1980s and she remained a devoted, keenly prepared and esteemed member throughout my time as founding conductor of the choir and beyond it. She had a beautifully rich voice. Peter's eulogy at Maeve's Funeral Mass, the participation of members of DLCS and the choice of music selected by Maeve herself reflected the range of Maeve's love of music beautifully. Thank you, Maeve. Rest in Peace. Waft her, angels, through the skies (Handel).
