Maeve Hamill

To Guy, Cormac, Gráinne, Bláithin and the extended Gibson and Hamill family. Heartfelt condolences on the passing of Maeve. Sadly the bell tolled too soon. I remember her as a student in secondary school. While she had everything going for her, she brought out the best in everyone and encouraged the not so privileged on their journey. I remember her winning the Mairéad McCarthy cup for Badminton in Mater Dei college. Having watched her beautiful funeral and listened to her outstanding journey including the impact she had on the schools and the students, naming a cup or commemorative item after her would be a well-deserved recognition. Go raibh suaimhneas síoraí ar Maeve.

My sincere condolences to Maeve’s family at this sad time. I have fond memories from school and long hot summers playing tennis at Dalgan Park. Although our paths did not cross in our adult lives, I’m sad to hear of her passing.

To Guy and all the Hamill family, I'm so saddened to hear about the passing of Maeve. I met Maeve in the eighties before she was taking a step towards her career. She was a beautiful person inside out, very wise and very gifted. Her students were very blessed to have her as a teacher and I'm sure she left a great legacy. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
