So sorry to hear of Magda's death. She was warm, friendly and collegiate; and always had a smile at Culwick rehearsals. I honour her passing and treasure her memory.
Devastated to only hear now of the death of our dear friend Magda. After Colin finished his term as conductor of the Culwick we would often meet up in town to dine together. Her immense dignity, kindness and charm were an example to us all in these divisive times. Our condolences, not only to her family, but to all those who feel her loss deeply.
Sincerest condolences from all in the Bon Secours Physiotherapy department. Magda was a fabulous lady who always brightened up our day with her smile and positive attitude.
May she rest in peace.
My condolences to Magda's family at this sad time. She was a wonderful woman and my abiding memory of Magda will be her broad smile and good humour which she brought to Thursday rehearsals in the Culwick. She will be missed. Ar dheis De go raibh a hanam.
Heartfelt sympathy to all Magdalen's family - Kevin, Veron, Barry and the family of the late Barbara. Magdalen was a dear friend and supportive colleague in I.C. School, Augusta, Ga. in the 60's. She was an inspiration and a motivator in her calm and assured dedication to her students. I have a lasting, loving memory of the talented musician as she taught our combined classes "The Sound of Silence" in a sweltering classroom in pre air-conditioning times! She didn't complain then, just as now she patiently bore her illness with only words of gratitude to break the silence. Many of her former students have expressed their sympathy on her passing. Rest in peace, dear Magdalen and thanks.
Sincere sympathy to all Magdalens family May she rest in peace .
The Ryan's, Madeline, Catherine, Tony and Paddy send their Sincere Sympathies to the O Connell Family. We were so sorry to hear of the passing of Magdalen. Its being a long time since I meet any of you but maybe sometime soon. I think of your Mum, my God mother very off when I pass her Sandymount house.
Love and Hugs Paddy
Sincere sympathies to all of Magda's family and friends. She was a wonderful lady, a lovely warm person and a true friend to so many. I had the privilege of singing with her in the Culwick Choral Society and she made me feel welcome from the very first moment. She will be sorely missed. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis.
Just heard the sad news about our dear Gaelic speaking friend Magdalen. Táim croíbhriste ag an scéala. I was so looking forward to meeting her after this Covid-19 scourge.

She was one of the most beautiful human beings that I have met and if there is a Heaven surely she will be there in the Seraphim (Choir of Angels) and maybe in the Ciorcal Comhrá as well.
Sincerest sympathies to Kevin, Veron and Barry on the sad passing of your wonderful sister Magdalen. I very much enjoyed Magdalen’s book, A Table and A Town, which was very skillfully written and well researched. Her book brought back many fond memories of Castlebar in the 1950s/60s, particularly of the Tennis Club, where the O’Connell family contributed greatly to its survival and to the social development of many Castlebar teenagers.
Veron, So sorry to hear of the sad passing of your sister, May she Rest In Peace. We extend our condolences to Philip and Veron and all that held Magdalene dear.
Sincere sympathies to all the family, especially Veron.
The list of condolences is hugely impressive and shows the great regard in which she was held

Sincere condolences on the death of Magda. We met many moons ago on the tennis court in Trackside and remained friends ever since. She will be sadly missed. May you rest in peace, my friend.
My sincere sympathy to Magda’s family. I was newly living in Ireland, pregnant, a bit homesick, and without an Irish license when I met Magda at my second Culwick rehearsal. She offered me a lift but what she really gave me was a caring friendship, a connection to my beloved music, and thoughtfulness that lifted my spirits at a very overwhelming time in my life. She sweetly collected me every week and we had the loveliest chats. She helped me any time I needed. I loved standing next to her and getting to hear her beautiful singing voice. The world is a little less bright for me now. While my heart is heavy with sadness, I will focus on how grateful I am that she was in my life and how lucky I was to call her a friend.
Deepest sympathies on the death of Magda. It was great pleasure to work with her on the Board of the Association of Irish Choirs. A great lady.

I am so sorry for your loss and so grateful for the times Magdalen reached out to me in the States, and the summer I worked as a student for the Leaving Cert with her. She was a delightful soul. We visited the chapel of the convent she had lived at and she told me why St. Francis was her favorite saint and then introduced me to a really wonderful steampunk restaurant. I know how very fond of her my father (Diarmuid) was. So sad to hear of her suffering and death. May she rest in love and peace.
