I’m saddened to hear of Maggie passing. I have such fond memories of Maggie working in UHL. I remember her as a kind, gentle nurse, she was always so glamorous and made time for everyone. She had a wonderful work ethic underpinned with such kindness for patients and everyone she met.

My sincere sympathy to Maggie's husband and daughters. Maggie was the matron of the Lakes nursing home when my dad was a resident there when it first opened in 2000. She was a superb matron who cared deeply for all the residents and was actively involved in their entire care. She was always so kind also to the relatives of all the residents. May she now enjoy her eternal reward for all her kindness.

I was so sad to hear of Margarets passing & offer sympathy to Phil, Rebecca, Emily & the extended Boland & Atkinson families. I have met Margaret over the years as a neighbour, family friend & nurse & was always cheered by her positive & bright personality. A dedicated nurse, which I experienced in Raheen Community Hospital, where my Mam attended respite. We also worked in the Galway Clinic & chatted regularly of parish & family news. She was a steadfast advocate for the care of her patients & their families, which was always delivered with kindness, consideration & a smile. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam dilis.
