Mai was a wonderfully kind, caring and gentle person, and had time for everyone she met and engaged with. Everyone knew and loved Mai and many were the hours that were spent in Feis halls the length and breadth of the country chatting and laughing with her.

It was with the most profound sadness, that I heard a couple of days ago, about the passing of my much loved first cousin Mai (Mary).

To Paddy (PJ), Mai's husband, I extend my heartfelt sympathy at this very sad time. To my second cousins Martin and Anne (Mai's and Paddy's children) I also extend my deepest sympathies on the passing of their Mom. No matter the age.
