Sincere Condolences to Kathleen, Bill, Teddy, Michael and Donie from all of us here in Alberta, Canada. JP has fond memories of going to Windgap during his summer holidays on the farm , working with Jim, Johnny and Mai ( Mai doing all the work :)) I remember Mai dancing away like a 20 year old at Fiona’s wedding. Then when JP and myself had Erin we visited Mai and Kathleen…. Mai had a teddy bear for Erin (which she still has) and gave her 50euro … I will never forget her generosity and warmth and laughter , which I think resonates in her children. We know Kathleen did an amazing job looking after Mai and will miss her especially . We are sorry we could not make it back to her funeral , but please know that she was dearly in our hearts and we sincerely thought of you all. A great Matriarch is missed. My memories of Mai are from the Wednesday day service in St Josephs Kilmoganny where I was lucky to be working when we celebrated her centenary two years ago. I feel privileged to have met such a lovely lady and to have been part of such a wonderful day. Rest easy Mai you have earned your heavenly bed

It was always a joy to visit Mai and chat on various subjects and she was so alert and curious on most subjects. Often a telephone call would be received from Australia and that would be placed on loudspeaker to incorporate me in to the conversation.

I know that Mai is now at peace and communication won’t be broken even in heaven.
