So saddened to learn of the death of lovely Mrs Callanan. Our sincere condolences to Margaret and all the family.

Dear Margaret and Gerry,

I was so very sad to hear about the Márie's passing.

I remember her so fondly from when we were very young growing up in Donnybrook, through our Bang Bang's days and beyond.

She was always so lovely to everyone, a rock of sense, always seeing the playing field clearly, and dispensing solid advice.

A long life, well lived. We will all miss her dearly.

Our condolences to Gerry and Margaret, and to all of the extended Callanan family. Your lovely mother was in the room next door to our mother, Marjorie Markey, in HFR. They used to sit together at the dining table, so on our visits I (or my siblings) would see her there, if not walking around the corridor for a stroll. She was always cheerful, with a ready smile, lovely to engage with, and always but always elegant. Our paths only crossed for the short time she was in HFR but I / we always enjoyed meeting her. May she forever rest in peace.
