Maire O'LOAN

I am very sad to hear of Máire's passing. As well as being a terrific colleague and the heart of the Galway office of the Inspectorate, she was a great friend. She gave me much good advice over the years! Sincere sympathies to her family. May she rest in peace.

I can still remember Máire's welcoming face when I first arrived in the Galway inspectors' office in 1998. She could make you feel like you belonged. Saoirse go deo léi. Pádraic.

PE is now an examination subject and also plays a major role in the mental health and well being of students May she rest in peace

Sad to hear of Maire's passing. She was a wonderful colleague for many years in the DES, refreshing in her openness and honesty and always with an uplifting positive energy. I continued to see Maire occasionally after our retirements as she was a very dear friend of my lovely next-door-neighbour, Mary Clarke... She will be missed by her many friends and colleagues.

I was saddened to learn of the death of Maire, an esteemed colleague of many years. Her pleasant presence made work more enjoyable.My sincere sympathy to her family and friends. May she rest forever i the loving embrace of Jesus and His blessed mother, Mary.

It is sad to hear of Máire's passing. I had the good fortune to work alongside Máire in the Galway office of the Department of Education Inspectorate in the early 2000s. Máire was wonderful company and will be deeply missed. Solas na bhflaitheas go bhfeice sí.
