Dear Eoin and Kate.
Eltin, Mairead and I have just heard of your sad losses over the past few months. Our condolences to you both and extended family. Covid stopped my contact with both Phelim and Maire, who had become such good friends of Austin's over his last years in Kincora Avenue. I hope their time in Cork was a nurturing time for them and for you. They were a wonderful couple.

I extend my deepest sympathy to Kate, Eoin, Brian and Caoimhe on your deep loss. Kate and Eoin, your Mam was such a lovely woman and was a warm, maternal, nurturing presence in our secondary school - loved and respected by all. There is some consolation that she and her beloved husband are reunited in Heaven. They were so devoted to one another.

My sincere condolences on the death of Maire. She was very kind and encouraging to me at the beginning of my teaching career. At work, and later meeting her around Clontarf she always had a lovely warm smile on her face and was always genuinely interested in chatting to me. Ar dheis De go raibh a hanam dilis.

She will be remembered as a founding member of St Mary’s Secondary School, Killester and Deputy Principal until her retirement. She made a major contribution to the growth and development of the school. I worked with her as a colleague for twenty three years and she was always so kind to staff members and pupils. My condolences to the O Reilly family on the loss of Maire. She was a wonderful teacher, who was a caring and fair vice principal in St Mary's. Her legacy lives on in the generation of young women she mentored and influenced

I’m so very sorry to hear of Mrs O’Reillys passing. May she Rest in Peace. Mrs O’Reilly was my Home Economics teacher many years ago. I have very few fond memories of school but she is one of them. She was my absolute favourite teacher. I still speak fondly of her all these years later. Thinking of you all at this very sad time.
