Deepest condolences to Mairéad's family. I knew her briefly in St. Pat's NS last term and she was very good to me. She was so welcoming and I really enjoyed our chats each day. She spoke so fondly of Inis Meáin. She was a really lovely lady and will be deeply missed.

Sincere Condolences to Ronan, Eugene, Cillìn and the extended family on the death of our beautiful Mairead. She had an incredible ability to connect with each person who entered St Patrick’s NS. She provided an ear to many and always knew the right thing to say. She saw joy in her role and her absence since we have returned is immense. It has been a privilege to have known her and I hope her family will know how much she was treasured in our community. Rest easy Mairead our dear friend and colleague.

Mairéad was the heart and soul of St. Patrick’s; I will really miss the daily chats with her in the staff room every morning. She always showed such an interest in everyone and their families and would literally do anything to help you out.

I will always remember Mairéad for her unwavering kindness and thoughtfulness. She was such a caring person who couldn’t do enough to help you. It meant so much to always have her warm, friendly presence in the school. She looked after us all in St Patrick’s and was cherished by staff and students alike. It was with deep sadness that I heard of the passing of Mairead. As the mother of 2 children who have long since left St Patrick’s NS & as an active member of the PA & BoM during my time there, I met Mairead on many many occasions and she always had a kind word and smile for adults and children alike. She would take time out of her busy day for a little chat & I witnessed many times over the years the care & reassurance she gave to upset children who suffered a grazed knee or bumped head in the yard. Mairead was a lovely, kind woman with a generous heart and beautiful soul. She will be sadly missed. My deepest sympathies to the family at this very sad time. May Mairead Rest in Peace x

She was kind, caring witty and full of warmth. These qualities helped her make a difference to childrens lives. May she Rest In Peace as she goes home.

We are so shocked and saddened at the death of Mairead our friend. Mairead was an asset to St Patrick’s school. We are the lollipop ladies and we had our break with Mairead most days. We chatted and laughed and had great fun. Mairead was a ver kind person. We will miss and remember her. We are pleased she is going back home to the island.
