I cannot believe I'm sitting here in America writing this condolence knowing I'm never going to see Mairead again. Words cannot describe how we are feeling. I was so looking forward to seeing Mairead in two weeks time when we get home for Christmas but unfortunately that is never going to be. Mairead was the kindest, funniest, most caring courageous woman who has been taken away from us far too young. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Mary, Paddy, Linda, PJ and everyone back in Brackna. Our thoughts and prayers are with ye all. We are truly sorry for your loss. Rest in Peace my Dear Friend. A beautiful human both inside and out who will be loved and remembered forever xxx

Mairead was one of the best. It breaks my heart to speak of her in the past tense. Our love of Kildare football joined us together in school nearly 21 years ago. A great friend with the brightest smile and an infectious laugh. Mairead was a special person everyone who met her knew this. I can’t believe we’ll never get to laugh together again. You will always be remembered and forever missed xxxx
