Dear Jane and family.l was so sorry to hear about your lovely Mum.l have many happy memories spending time in your house in Churchtown also only recently was in Cahore and was telling Trevor about our holidays with your parents and the great fun times we had.Thinking of you all at this sad time .

What a fantastic achievement

Auntie Mairead would light up every room she entered with her charm, grace and warm smile. She loved to tell stories, sing songs and laugh uproariously. We have fond memories of being treated for lunch during the Christmas season at Johnny Fox’s along with the universally loved Auntie Anna (RIP). It is sad for all of us to lose the matriarch of the Murphy family. However, we can all take solace in a long life well lived. One of my earliest memories is sitting on the beach in Skerries in the mid 1960s when our families used to holiday there in the summer. To me your Mam was simply “Hinchy”. Many years later I bumped into her in Churchtown and addressed her as “Mrs” Hinchy and she laughed as she reminded me I didn’t always use her full title! She lived a great long life. Rest in peace “Hinchy”.
