I will be forever grateful to count Mairead as one of my best and lifelong friends, she truly was one in a million. Blessed to have been able to share so many wonderful memories with her over the years, from our years playing camogie to our many holidays and gatherings.

Every single memory I have of Mairéad is of a warm, kind, wonderful person. Some of the fondest memories I have are of the times I spent playing with Mairéad & Elaine at the O'Donovan house. I am without words. Our deepest condolences to Mary, John, Martin, Jimmy & Elaine. Rest in Peace Mairéad. x

I am so saddened on hearing of the passing of Mairead, she was such a lady with an amazing character. I have spoken with her for many years in FBD, and even though we only met in person once, she had a gift of humour, warmth and making genuine connections. I felt we always managed to pack a lot into a 5 minute conversation! She will be deeply missed within FBD and my thoughts are with all your family during this very difficult time.
