I am so sorry myself & Pat (Byrne) were not able to attend Mairéad’s funeral as we were away. We both worked with Mairead. She was such a beautiful person. A huge loss to her family and friends. My life path only touched with Mairead's from 2017 onwards but since then she was inspirational, a guiding light and a true colleague in every sense at all times.
Mairead was a real lady and I too feel a deep sense of loss with her passing.

I was so devastated to hear of Mairead's passing. We worked together in the MIBI and we bonded over Swords as i grew up there.
Mairead was always so supportive. I owe her a debt. She was incredibly witty and gregarious and just such a fun caring amazing lady. The world will be so much duller for the loss of beautiful Mairead.
Id also just like to say the service was beautiful. A true representation of the wonderful lady Mairead was. Well done to you all, you did her incredibly proud.

Dear Paddy, David, Katie and Sean, I was so shocked and upset to hear the really sad news that Mairead had passed away and I am so sorry I couldn't be with you this morning to give you all a hug as you said good bye to her. I, like my dad, had the absolute pleasure of
working with Mairead in BoI in HR so god love her she got us both over the years.
She was so generous with her knowledge, someone I could always pick up the phone to or drop in to if you were looking for a steer on something and I was always genuinely
delighted when we got the opportunity to work together on various projects or programmes. Even if you were working on perhaps the not most exciting task in the world, you still walked away with a smile on your face after doing it with Mairead as you always had a laugh and a giggle as you were going through it. Spending time with Mairead was easy and you always left the better for it.
While she was the utmost professional and forever modest about her own abilities and achievements, it was clear that her family and friends and her relationships with you all were her proudest achievements - the ultimate lesson for all of us.

I worked with Mairead at Bank of Ireland - she was a great colleague and a real presence in the Training & Development Department. She always had a kind word and there was always a laugh when Mairead was around.
