To the lovely Halpin family, very sad to hear of the passing of your mam. She was such an energetic, vibrant person. I can remember her hopping up off a sofa and getting down on the floor to look under it for a missing item - she was in her 70s and like a spring chicken. Inspiring stuff and an example to us all of how to live well. I was very sorry to miss the funeral today and was thinking of you all, especially Claire. Lots of love.

My mam, Anne Mannion, enjoyed running into Mairin from time to time, sharing a bond as mothers to two very good friends- Claire Halpin and my sister, Sinead Mannion. You might be interested to know that some of Mairins garden plants, St.Josephs Lilies (otherwise known as Arum Lilies) now grow beautifully in my garden in Minnesota, USA! God bless you all.
