A wonderful lady.
I was taught chemistry for the Leaving Certificate in 1977 by Maírín Hughes. I have crystal clear memories of her presence in the classroom, her professional teaching abilities, her enthusiasm for her teaching profession and her willingness and generosity in parting with her knowledge for the benefit of her students. Maírín was undoubtedly a splendid ambassador for the educational system and a caring / interested teacher to her students. Sincere sympathy to all who mourn Maírín's passing. May Maírín R.I.P. and rise again in glory.
Rest in Peace 🌹
