Condolences to the Quill family on your loss. I served with Maureen on Cork City Council for many years. She always spoke with great eloquence. May she rest in peace.

Deepest sympathy to the extended Quill family on the death of Máirín. She made a great contribution to her adopted city as teacher, politician (both local and national), and as a vocal and practical supporter of the arts and community, not least the Choral Festival, during her lifetime. Her many interests enhanced her relationships with so many people and made her so interesting to be with. Her indomitable spirit and love of people will be missed. God rest Maureen’s soul. She was widely known and respected on the Northside of Cork City as an educator & public representative. I enjoyed our friendship and many conversations while members of Cork City Council. My deepest sympathies to her family.

I would like to offer my most sincere condolences to the Quills of Kilgarvan parish on the passing of Máirín. Not only was she an exemplary individual, but possessed all the great qualities of the Quills. Her legacy will be remembered for years to come.

We are so very sorry to learn of Mairin’s death, we knew she had been unwell for a long time but was always cheerful whenever we met. Both as a Councillor and a TD she was always available and more importantly she listened, a rare quality and one we are grateful for.
R.I.P. we will miss you.

May Máirín’s gentle soul rest in peace. I have very fond memories of her as my teacher in St Vincent’s Convent. She was a wise woman and had a great zest for life. She is reunited with her family now.
