Martin was a courageous, hard-working man with a big heart. He welcomed us into his home with open arms when we had no accommodation. I really enjoyed working with Martin, he never stopped, especially when he had a sledgehammer in his hands.
He passed on his knowledge to me with passion and always with a smile.
Our thoughts are with all of you at this sad time.
Martin will remain in our hearts and thoughts.

Have fond memories of Tim when he shared a hospital room with my own dad in July of this year, plenty of laughs and chats about everything. My deepest sympathies to you all. I was very sorry to hear of your very sad news . I have great memories of many holidays in Baile an tSleibhe and Coilleach . My Dad loved to see all the projects Máirtín was working on and they had great chats together, and it was lovely that they stayed intouch over all years . Sincere condolences to Sailí and all the family at this very sad and lonely time.

I was shocked to hear of the sudden death of Máirtín a larger than life character whom I had known for many years I often supplied him with parts to keep his digger fleet ticking over. Our chat often included GAA and Boxing he had strong opinions on both and I was aswell to agree.

There are few words to describe a man like Mairtin Tim. It wasnt what people knew about him, it's what people didn't know that made him so special to us. When sean mhicil was doing his cancer treatment Mairtin would call in every night regardless of time, shoot the breeze with dad and offer a fist pump and a "strong a mac" and leave regardless of how busy he was or how late at night it was. Everyone on the ward knew he'd be in and never stopped him. As a family man and worker he's an example to everyone. As a friend he has few equals. Thanks for everything Mairtin Tim. You'll be missed. Rest in peace.

To Saili and family, Sincere Condolences, on the loss of Mairtin Tim.
What a man! he looked after Dad (Joe Willie) in life and in death and our family will be forever grateful.  Dad told some great stories over the years and Mairtin Tim's name always came up. (not saying which one was the trouble maker!)
He was a hard working man and I sincerely hope he is Resting now and at Peace. 
I hope that Joe Willie was waiting for him with a pint and they have found a pub resembling old Hughes and are having a hooley along with the other Spiddal characters that we lost over the years.
