Malachy always performed his duties as Guidance Counsellor in a professional and approachable manner and was extremely helpful to all his students. You will always live on in our memory Malachy. Rest in Peace Malachi, I have fond memories of meeting you in Belfast in early 2020 when 3 generations of the Fox clan came to see Clannad. You were a great lover of Irish culture and song agus an Gaeilge. Sincere thanks to the expert care team at Kilwee Care home and in particular to Margaret, your kindness and grá for Malachi was truly inspirational. Fare thee well sir. Heaven knows no frontiers.

My sincere sympathy on the death of Malachi to his sons and extended family. Malachi and I joined the staff of St. Mary's, Ballisodare on the same day in September 1981. He was a formidable presence in the staff room and his wry wit will never be forgotten. He also had a lovely singing voice and played a major role in the school's 1st ever musical. No social occasion was complete without a rendition of his party piece - Tennessee Waltz. May he rest in peace. Suaimhneas síoraí dó.
