Very sad to hear this news. Manfred was old school, an absolute gentleman. He looked after us (and in particular my folks Ray & Susan) so well over the years. Condolences to Geraldine and their children, their extended family and close friends. RIP.

He was one of natures gentlemen and we are shocked to hear of his passing. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. We were in Quigleys marina for about 25 years and Manfred and Geraldines restaurant was a unique, homely, welcoming place to spend an evening . We will never forget the really great nights we had there....Manfred behind the bar and Geraldine serving up wonderful food. So many, many lovely memories. Manfred may you rest in eternal peace.

Geraldine so sorry to hear about Manfred, Dave Bishop told me . We always look forward to our trips there in Summer and usually dealt with Manfred directly. He was a friendly gentle soul and somebody we liked from our first meeting . May God give you and your family strength for the road ahead.

Deepest sympathy to Ger, William, Karl and all those who are deeply saddened by the passing of Manfred. I have such fond memories of the Walesch family from a very young age and of course our many family gatherings in the Chalets, where we were warmly greeted and catered for by Manfred, Ger and their amazing staff, who are such a big part of the Walesch family. One of my favourite memories of Manfred was listening to the banter and laughter of himself and James returning to shore after a days fishing, not a fish caught between the pair, but the smiles on the two friends faces showed that the expedition was well enjoyed by both! Rest in peace Manfred. You will always be a huge part of that most peaceful Killinure shore-line and the beautiful waters that surround it.
