sincere condolences to Dr Calvo's Family and to all the staff in the medical centre. Dr Calvo had become more then our family doctor over the last 15 years or more and he was like a friend to us all and he will be will be sadly missed by all who new him. HE WAS A TRUE GENTLEMAN R.I.P

I was so shocked to hear the news of Dr Calvos passing i had only seen him recently he was always so warm and friendly and always had time to have a chat, he is irreplaceable and i will never forget him as when i attended him first i had lost my mam he helped me so much my deepest sympathy to his family may god give them strenght and comfort at this time

I don't know what to say, I only found out yesterday when I rang to make an appointment for my baby to see him and Kitty told me the awful news. I loved dr calvo in my eyes there was no other doctor like him and I work with alot of doctors as I am a children's nurse. Has has been my GP for well over 10 years and has seen and got me through alot. My mams sudden death and my three pregnancies. I moved from blanch years ago and now live over an hour drive from blanch but still drove to him when myself or my boys needed a doctor because I could not imagine any other GP looking after my family. Am heart broken so can only imagine how his wife and son and extended family are feeling. A huge loss to this world. I will never forget you. Michelle hall

I wish to express my sincere condolences to Dr Calvo's wife, son, extended family and colleagues. Dr Calvo has been our GP for many years. He was a true professional who when needed went above and beyond to care for his patients. As a person he was the most sincere, warm human being I have ever met. Hugely proud of his family and of his beloved Spain. He can never be replaced. I hope his family and friends can take some comfort from these words and all the lovely messages I have read here. Our deepest sympathy to Doreen & Manuel . We became patients of Dr Calvo on Clonsilla rd 13 yrs ago .We have a son with huge medical needs , Cian is one of 4 in the world with his condition. Dr Calvo was just amazing in every way , we will miss him hugely. He often spoke of how he looked forward to going to Spain and the trips he had with his wife . He was a great man for chatting about his travels ... cliff house hotel and how he enjoyed walking the side streets of Paris.... Such a friendly man , always witty and welcoming at the surgery. We just can not put into words how completely sad and shocked we are to hear of the untimely passing of this wonderful man. He was my doctor for 15years and doctor to my four children, Myah Rose, John, Thomas and Daniel. We all loved him. He was so careing so supportive and so very very kind. A wonderful man and doctor, who has been such a help and guiding light to my daughter over the past few years. He will be missed so much by his dear family, friends and patients.

So shocked to hear of Dr Calvo's death. As a GP he went beyond the call of duty. You were not just his patient when in the surgery. He would email my son periodically about his illness & when replying to Dr Calvo's last email there was an automatic reply that the Dr was on holidays. He was thinking of his patients to the end! As well as being an exceptional doctor , Mano was a great husband to my sister, Doreen, a great father to his son Manuel, a great son-in-law to my parents Frank and Kay and a great brother-in-law to me. We are all shocked and devastated by his sudden departure from this life and hope and pray everyone's prayers will help towards filling the terrible void left in all our lives. You couldn't meet a more caring , generous and humorous man as Mano was . All out hearts are broken. May he rest in peace.

I only met him once, but he felt like part of the family as he looked after my parents and siblings as I'm overseas. A remarkable man, went so far above and beyond with my parents, who knew doctors could be like this? He is missed already. Lovely man.

He was a model doctor and human being.Whilst so many doctors in Ireland are vague, distant and money hungry, allocating a patient 10 minutes time etc, Dr. Calvo was always warm , caring, extremely attentive and excellent as a physician, he gave all his patients time and warmth and humour and I know personally that he was instrumental in improving and even saving lives. On behalf of our entire family we wish to express our shock and sadness on the passing away of our dearly beloved Dr. Manuel Calvo. He has been there for us whenever we called at his surgery, we always leave with smiles on our faces. We extend our deepest condolences to his wife, son and family; we pray almighty God to console and give them the strength to bear this immense and irreplaceable loss. We have been to him for advice on many other issues and he has always guided us accordingly, doing so in a most friendly manner. Our young children were in tears when they heard the sad news, he was very amiable, approachable and the very best at what he does. We have lost our friend and doctor. Rest in perfect peace Dr. Manuel Calvo.

We got the HSE letter emailed to us to California from our friend in Dublin and we are deeply shocked and very sad and upset that our dear Dr Calvo RIP passed away. He was my GP for a few years and was a very kind understanding witty and great doctor and a person.
Even if we are not living in Dublin now, we will miss him truly. It is shocking that he is not in the Blanchardstown Medical center anymore...

Manuel was our Dr. for 8 years and he was always impecable as a doctor and as a person. He was very close to all my family. Helped me through my pregnancies and took care of my children. He always spoke about all of his family and trips during my visits and he will be deeply missed. We are neighbors from Beaumont too and we will be with all of you next Monday. Rest in peace Manuel.

My sincere sympathy for Doreen and Manuel. He was my pupil during my first year teaching here in Torrelevaga as was later his lovely sister Esther. He also attended me myself and in later years my son in our medical needs. I regarded him as a constant friend and in recent years Doreen as well so my shock was one of incredulous disbelief. I await with anxiety Esther's return to tell us what she knows and I hope that at some stage I will get the opportunity to talk to Dorreen and share her grief and sadness. I believe Manolo would hope and wish that she and Manuel can find their way in the light of the success and goodwill which he leaves behind.

Still lost for words , Dr. calvo will be so sadly missed , people built a lovely bond with him over the years , has helped myself and family members through some tough times , lovely man with a great sense of humour . rip

Dr Calvo has been our family gp since our children were born seven years ago. They loved him. When we asked what they loved about him they said they loved him talking to them asking about school and giving them lollipops!. He was a very special man, a true gentleman, kind, sensitive and a brilliant doctor - we will really miss him.
Our thoughts are with his family who he clearly adored and spoke so lovingly of especially his son. We learnt about his son's progress through life with love and pride from Manuel.

We were so sorry and deeply saddened to hear of your loss. Dr Manuel Calvo was our doctor for several years. He was such a warm and kind man, a truly wonderful doctor. In the early stages of my pregnancy things looked bleak for us and we were so worried that we would lose our precious baby. Dr Calvo provided excellent care and support and we now have our healthy baby boy. We feel that little Theo may have not been with us if it hadn't been for the care provided by your husband and father. You must be so proud of him. Once again, we are so sorry for your loss. Our prayers are with you. Dr Calvo will be greatly missed by all. He made such a difference to this world.

I am deeply deeply saddened by this sudden and shocking loss of such a great person. He was my gp for some years and my doctor when I was pregnant. He was such a caring nice man. More of a friend than a gp to me. May his soul rest in peace.

Sus consultas fueron invariablemente un encuentro humano y amistoso, un compartir de experiencias, siempre recibí de él la ayuda que necesitaba pero sobretodo su amistad, comprensión y sabios consejos que me sirvieron en la construcción de mi aventura en Irlanda. Mi querido Doctor Calvo usted será siempre recordado con afecto y su presencia será irreemplazable.
Su inesperada partida es muy triste no me cabe la menor duda, pero su ejemplo y enseñanzas son un importante legado para todos los que tuvimos la suerte de compartir su calidez y altas cualidades profesionales.

My wife Ann rang the surgery on Tuesday morning to speak to Manuel only to be told the devastating news. He has been our GP for approximately six years or so. A great man for conversation. Warm and kind in his welcoming every time we met. A brilliant doctor at explaining things. We are devastated and still trying to comprehend what has happened. We can only imagine how much his family are suffering at the loss of such a young man. A husband and father. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time. Rest in peace Manuel and thanks for everything.

Can't imagine there could be a better GP in the world than Manuel Calvo. His sensitivity and huge sense of humour was beyond compare.Deepest sympathy to his devastated wife,son and other family members and friends.

Dr Calvo was my doctor for many years and It was always a great comfort to see him. He was the best Gp I had, always listening, always attentive, a great doctor to have. I would like to know the circumstances of his death. I hope he did not suffer which is the most important. All my condolences to his family.
