We were very sorry to hear about the death of Manus. We had the privilage of his company during some of our visits to his brother in law Eoin and wife Eileen. He was a beautiful gentleman. My sincerest condolonces to Máire, Donal, Fergal, Margaret, Miriam, Eleanor and families on the passing of Manus. As my first employer at his workshop in Prospect hill, Manus and his parents Michael and Margaret extended much kindness and patience to me which made my first experience of working life a rewarding one. A man of intellect he liked to debate and often spoke of his schooling, his apprenticeship, his hurling youth, his friends in town and his trips to his relatives in the countryside. It was a pleasure to witness a true artisan at his trade and his work adorned the Galway races for many years. May his kind and gentle soul rest in Heavenly peace.
