We will always do our best for them so rest easy Marc, you were taken too soon.. until we meet again. xxxx
I was deeply devastated when I received the incredible news of Marc's passing. So unreal, so unbelievable.
Marc was a kind-hearted person. I feel very fortunate to have known him and to have had the honor of working with him. He was very special, very kind, extremely helpful and caring.
I wish his family, especially his children and parents, all the strength they need to cope with this painful loss.
He will watch over you as your guardian angel, I am sure!

My sincere condolences to Colm & Margaret, Gillian & Cathal and especially to Eamon, Cushla and Moya.
I worked with Marc in Bank of Ireland over many years, what a gentleman: honest, direct and always on the ball, a real character and of course, great craic. He was so knowledgeable, patient and generous with his time, and was hugely appreciated by his customers in the Bank. Eamon, Cushla & Moya, he was completely devoted to you and I know he'll be with you always.

all the O'Sullivan family on the tragic death of Marc. RIP.
My sincere condolences to the O'Sullivan family, especially his children Eamon, Cushla and Moya. I was deeply hit when I learned about your loss. I worked with Marc on 2 projects at Bank of Ireland and got to know him as a sincere and wonderful character. As a colleague, I have always greatly appreciated his directness and honesty. I remember many good conversations and of course his passion for sport in particular the GAA. As a non-Irish, he was for me in a positive sense an ambassador of the many Irish qualities and virtues I have learned to appreciate during my lifetime in Ireland. I will always keep Marc in memories. May Marc rest in peace.

I have just heard the sad news and I am truely very sorry to hear of Marc's most untimely passing. I worked with Marc in BOI 15 - 18 years ago. I can still see his wonderful smile. Marc would always stop for a chat, always had something positive to say even when the place was falling apart! My thoughts are with you his first family and his wonderful children. Edel xx
Mon cher Ami Marc,
We all have good friends but for many of us you were our best Friend. We are all feeling the weight of your loss and it is difficult to imagine life without your presence as you were such an important part of our lives and brought us so much joy.
We were each other’s confidant and supported each other through all of life’s challenges. I will deeply miss our phone conversations, but I will always treasure memories of those we had as well as the countless precious happy moments spent together with you and our friends.
I will cherish all those happy memories like it was yesterday for the rest of my life.
You were also a caring and devoted family man to your parents Colm & Margaret, your sister Gil and brother Cathal and above all a WONDERFUL DAD who loved his children Eamon, Cushla & Moya with all your heart. I will never forget how proud you were and how nothing in the world would have stopped you going above and beyond to ensure that your precious loved ones were taken care of. Your legacy as a devoted and loving father will always be remembered.
It will take time to fix our broken hearts but I know that you would have wanted us to come together, support each other, and be strong for your family.
You will be hugely missed but your spirit, your joie de vivre will live on in our hearts and memories.
Love you Marc.
Bon vent.

Dear, Colm, Margaret, Gillian, Cathal and family,
There are no words to express the immense feeling of sadness at the all too sudden passing of our wonderful friend Marc. He was so many things to so many people. A best friend to Jim, a kind caring man who was truly interested in what you had to say. A man of many words, the life and soul of any party and the glue that kept a friend group of many years together.
He will be missed so much by all that loved him.
Thinking especially of his beautiful children, Eamon, Cushla and Moya and their Mum Sharon.
Leaba i measc na naomh go raibh aige x

They say only the good die young. This is fitting for you my friend. A friend of 45 years has gone and left a gap that will never be filled. We soldiered through so much together from Ovens NS to BCS, from football to soccer, from Nantucket to London, weddings, birthdays and everything in between. You brought such fun to this journey always looking on the bright side.
Always the first to offer help, support and wise counsel to those you need a lift, a trait i feel is often over looked because of your outgoing nature. This will be missed by so many.
Joined at the hip for so long I am still in shock at your early passing. Eamonn, Moya & Cushla will now carry on your legacy under the loving care of Colm, Margaret, Gillian, Cathal and Sharon. Your friends will always keep a watchful eye over them.
Its an old saying but one I know you like "Don't cry because its over, smile because it happened".
Rest easy Marc my dearest friend.

My deepest condolences to all Marc’s family and friends.
I had the pleasure of working with Marc in BOI. He truly was one of a kind. He had the most incredible patience, putting up with me asking the same silly questions on repeat like a broken record. His calmness and infectious personality taught me the importance of keeping perspective and always having a sense of humour.
Thank you for everything Marc.

Dear Sharon, Eamon, Cushla, Moya, Colm, Margaret, Gillian, Cathal, wider family and Marc's friends, such a tragic loss and heartfelt condolences to you all.
Oh Marcy kid, hero, friend, you will be badly missed. You are with Morgan now - you know what to say to him from us all.
Recent days have brought back so many great memories, particularly during our itinerant GAA days in London - happiest football ever - what a crew. We mixed the sublime with the ridiculous, often in the same match. As I always said to you, you scored the best goal I ever saw in Gaelic - the context (coming on as a sub with a point to prove) made it even sweeter - I can still see it so clearly - you won ball on the 21 .... dipped the shoulder one way .... turned, beat the man, turned again and then walloped it into the top corner with dip - you then ran to our sideline wagging your finger at the manager 😂😂❤️ Point Proven! I look forward to seeing Eamon, Cushla and Moya all emulating such magic on the pitch.
Boat trips, until the next time we sing in the rain .... Ian
With love,

To my best friend Marc, who I first met when we were both aged 5, Godfather to my daughter Aoife, and the glue between our network of friends.
Memories of you knocking on my front door all those years ago wearing health service provided jam-jars of glasses to help improve your lazy eye, our childhood summers spent down in Galley Head, and the countless journeys around West Cork in your Dad’s van when he was making fish deliveries to hotels.
In our early teens, attending the first Robin Hood movie in the old Capital cinema on the Grand Parade, you proceeded to gallop up and down the aisles in front of everyone throughout the movie, all while shouting ‘giddyup horsey’.
You were always up for a laugh, the life of a party, and made sure everyone enjoyed themselves, no matter the occasion. If a stranger turned up at a party that you were attending, they left that party having gained a new friend in you due to your infectious ability to make sure everyone felt included in the festivities.
Your collection of shirts was sometimes questionable, but you were the first straight man that I knew that could pull off wearing a pink shirt, long before it became fashionable to wear such pastel colours. It’s fitting that Gillian ensured that you brought some of that colour on your onward journey.
While you certainly excelled in your career, your greatest accomplishment in life was with Eamon, Cushla and Moya, who you idolized.
Until we see each other again, sleep well my BFF.

Marc, so unfair, the nicest of the nice, a fun person always smiling, charming, nice to be around. Also a smart chap, one who would always give his time to help others. Will be missed but always remembered with a smile.
