There aren’t many people who would cut up your food for you, and even try feed you in hospitality yet you did Marco. When I attempted to have lunch out with newborn twins by myself, you made sure I was ok. Great friend to Carl and I, you will be truly missed. A real gent. We worked together over 26 years ago in Johannesburg and I will always remember him fondly. Full of fun and so full of kindness. A lovely human being. We were in touch briefly when he moved to Ireland but unfortunately didn’t get the chance to meet up. May he rest in peace.

RIP Minx. Remember all those times at Bacini,Signori, the partying and all the laughs & naughtiness. Less is more bro.

I would like to take this opportunity to send my deepest condolences to Sandy, Nunu, Wouter & Chantal and to the beautiful Stella whom I’ve not had the pleasure to meet in person.

I dated Marco in my early 20’s and looking back now, some 26-years later, am extremely grateful to him for watching over me, a true guardian angel who came into my world at just the right time!! I will never forget his kind and charming nature, the twinkle in his eye, that smile, his passion (and talent) for house music but indeed all music, his love for his family, his huge network of friends and the way people just loved being around him- as I did!

I will carry him and the happy memories in my heart. I think of him often as my beautiful son is named Christian.

I first met you when you & Clive came to UK. You were about 16 & you guys stayed in our family home for about 6 weeks. You were such fun!

I’d then catch up with you when you were visiting my Uncle John & his wife (your mum) Sandy in Brighton. We’d somehow all squash into their flat. I’d always ask if there was someone special.. Then I heard about Stella & we were all so pleased for you.

Later, we’d meet at Sandy’s care home & how you made her laugh & chuckle (and me) as we would whizz her across the road in her wheelchair to the beach, doing your best to ensure that her overly large hat didn’t blow-off! Happy days.

As we’d sit in the wind, listening to the crashing waves on Brighton beach, you would confide in us with your plans & hopes & my son Toby (about 20 by now) listened intently as we tried to think of ways to help you obtain your dreams..You made quite an impression on my young lad with your brave & bold decisions.

Sandy would nod & smile and tell us repeatedly how much she loved you & my, how she did/does love you. She would tell anyone who would listen & we’d all laugh together!

Your dreams though, were all related to your daughter & her happiness. You wanted to be close and near to her, indeed we could see that you’d moved across the world to do this.

Marco, you were one of life’s “good” people. You were “adored” by your mum & your sunny nature shone through.

Sincere condolences to Marco’s family & work colleagues. He was a true gent very helpful & caring individual. I still remember the second last disco I played in the courtyard was delighted to play a few requests for Marco, he was chuffed with same & I was glad to oblige. Unfortunately due to work commitments I won’t be able to make it to his funeral tomorrow but I will remember him later by playing a few tunes in his memory. May your gentle soul rest in peace in was a pleasure knowing you even though it was a short period of time. Hope the tunes are as good up above 👍👍🥲
