On behalf of the ARCB, Connacht Rugby Referees, to sympathise with the family, friends and MAR colleagues of Marcus. He was a regular attender of our Annual Dinner. As the numerous earlier tributes show, he is being remembered fondly as a character, and a gentleman.

Dearest Eibhlis, Jonathan, Alex & Evan, we are so very very saddened to hear of the passing of Marcus. We treasured the times he visited us here at Heathfield, his home place, with you, and his last visit here with Jonathan. He was the kindest and most gentle of men, articulate, bright and humourous and it was a pleasure to be in his company while he regaled us with the history and stories of Heathfield House over the years. Please know that we have a candle lighting here in the house in his memory and we will never forget him. Rest, dear gentle soul. Also please know that you and the boys are always welcome here to visit.
