Sincere condolences to Bernie's family. She was a lovely neighbour. Our back gardens adjoined & we often heard her singing in her kitchen. She had a beautiful voice. When we moved in to No. 1 Greenlea Park she welcomed us with one of her delicious plum puddings. She adopted one of our cat's kittens (Piglet). We have fond memories of Bernie & are so glad to have known her. May her beautiful soul rest in peace. XX

So sorry to hear of Bernie’s death on Christmas Day no doubt she was determined to sing heavenly. I new Bernie from the earliest days in St James choir and have many great memories which I will recall of a time of great singing and much friendship , her voice was so beautiful, she will be remembered by all us still alive. She would always bring life to gatherings and had so many talents. Aunty Bernie’s singing was a joy and she sang at numerous family events.
