Sincerent sympathies to the extended Boland family on the passing of Pearl. She was a wonderful woman and a very honest, straightforward, forthright person. I saw her on a daily basis walking up and down Priory Avenue, until eventually she had to go to a care home. She was always cheerful and chatty and friendly to everyone she met. She always asked about my wife Loretta and our three children. She was a great, longterm friend to our mother Nora Moran, also in the Priory, until her passing in 2006. I gather she was also a much loved teacher in Oatlands College.

We are sad that Granny Pearl has passed away, but are so glad that she had such a long and fruitful life, in which she helped and meant so much to so many. I have such fond childhood memories of spending Saturday evenings with Granny Pearl at Priory. We are so grateful that her Californian great-grandchildren, Ronan, Tiernan, and Orla also got to spend a wonderful morning with Granny Pearl in 2018 at Priory, especially the chance to engage in Granny Pearl’s legendary banter.
With love,

So sad to hear from Larnie that his dear Mum had passed away yesterday. Mrs Boland, as I always knew her when growing up in Priory (and found it impossible to address her otherwise despite her protests), was a fantastic neighbour in Priory Avenue and an exceptional caring friend to my mother over many many years. Rest In Peace to a wonderful human being.

It was with deep regret that I heard of the death of Margaret. I taught at Oatlands college with Margaret for many years. She blazed the trail for the addition of females to the once all male staff.
