On behalf of our Dad, Dermott, and the rest of the family, I’d like to send our sincere thanks to all those who have been so kind with sending your condolences online, and via phone calls and cards, following the sad passing of our Mum, Margaret, two months ago.
Your warm expressions of sympathy and support have been greatly appreciated by the family in our time of sorrow, and have reminded us of many of the lives Mum touched in such a positive, caring fashion across her 82 years.
Although she sadly suffered from dementia in recent years, your comments and stories have also sparked fond memories of numerous happy times that she enjoyed during her life, when Mum was able to be more active. She loved company, sharing warm hospitality whenever the opportunity arose, both at home and in the various communities Margaret was involved in, especially her lifelong commitment to charitable activities. She was also very fortunate to have such a wide network of friends from her extensive interests across the years and we can reflect with great joy how much happiness was shared in a life well lived.
As a family we treasured her abiding love, compassion and support which has kept us close together and Margaret’s strong caring values will continue to steer us throughout our lives.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I always had very fond memories of your Mum. Such a great and happy personality. You are all in my thoughts at this very difficult time

Dermot, my condolences on the loss of Margaret in these awful times. Margaret was a beautiful woman who displayed great warmth and devotion to children in particular. She was always learning and was a most eloquent conversationalist on all current topics. Will be missed but always remembered.

I have lovely memories of meeting Margaret and Dermott in Howth and been entertained royally in their home where we celebrated a Wedding Anniversary of Philla (Margaret's sister) and Dan (RIP). We were entertained royally, they were wonderful company and Margaret was so friendly, vivacious and kind, she was great fun. May you all be comforted at this sad time. Rest in Peace Margaret.
