She was also a very good painter and I have one of her paintings of the archway at the Black Castle and enjoy looking at it regularly and it will be a great reminder of a special lady. Margaret was the epitome of an independent lady. Always elegant and eloquent. Well read and well travelled. She was charming and yet formidable. We shared an interest in painting, dogs and a love of Wicklow Harbour and I will always hold her in high regard and remember her with great fondness and respect. A long road well travelled Margaret.
