I am so saddened to hear of the loss of Margaret.

When I visited Ireland with Julie and John, Margaret welcomed me like a family member as did all of you. I will never forget her kindness and generosity.

Margaret was truly a bright light. She was a tenacious woman that I looked up to and I greatly enjoyed her dry wit and intelligence.

My mother Mary, brother Tom and his wife Liz join me in offering their condolences to our Irish family, the Harringtons.

I so enjoyed meeting Margaret on a visit to Ireland.She was a very special woman.
I am sending thoughts and prayers to her family.

Margaret was such a lively, energetic and smart woman. She wore her years lightly in retirement. That is why it was such a shock to hear the sad news of her death.

I worked with Margaret in the Department of Defence and she was extremely kind and encouraging to me always as a colleague and as my boss.

She was also good fun with a great turn of phrase. She loved a verbal joust with our army counterparts and many trained soldiers met their match in such discussions!

On retirement, a few of us met up regularly and Margaret was great company and shared enjoyable stories of her beloved Bere Island.

Covid interrupted these enjoyable meetings but it was a pleasure to have shared those happy times with her and her sense of humour and love of a good laugh at life.

We will all miss you very much Margaret. Thanks for everything.
You will always remain in our memories and hearts.
