When we visited Margaret on July 1st last year we never thought it would be our last time to visit her. She looked so well and was in great spirits, and it is a lovely way to remember her. I have very fond memories of visiting Margaret and her flat mates Nano & Lucy in Edenderry on a regular basis while living at home in the 80's. She was always very pleasant and welcoming. Like so may has attested to she bore her illness with enormous bravery, never complaining about her situation. She had a sharp intellect and a great sense of humour. Margaret "you have fought the good fight" and may your gentle soul rest in the eternal peace of Heaven which you deserve.

Margaret was held in very high regard by friends and colleagues and the attendance at her funeral was testament to this. I taught on the staff of Derrinturn and was there when Margaret joined us. She also joined us in our rented house in Fr. Kearns St.
and quickly settled in to life in Edenderry. Margaret was an honest and sincere person who faced the ups and downs of life with resilience and determination. Her courage and acceptance of her life's path were an example to us all. Rest in peace. Margaret. You have earned your wings x

I'm very sorry to hear of the death of Margaret. I knew her when she shared a house in Edenderry with Nano and Moira. She was always kind and good humoured and I would call on a Friday in my way home from Maynooth.We had lots of good chats, cups of tea and Margaret was very independent though not very well then.Condolences to her family and friends.RIP.

I shared a house with Margaret in Edenderry when we both worked in nearby Carbury.We kept in touch over the years when we both moved back home to our own counties, Mayo,and Clare.
