My sincere sympathy to Margaret’s family on her recent passing.
I was a student nurse under Margaret’s leadership at Beaumont Hospital A & E Department when the hospital first opened. Margaret was a great role model to all the student nurses and the nurses who worked in Beaumont A&E.

Margaret was very kind and very caring despite having a humongous role being the senior nurse in charge of a very busy ED.

I returned to Beaumont Hospital as Director of Nursing in 2021 and many many times as I walked the corridors of the ED I thought of Sr. Jefferies and her kindness to patient’s and her leadership to nursing.
May her gentle soul rest in peace.
