I was sorry to hear about this death notice. Lil was a pure lady always and although I have not seen here in some time, I have lovely memories of her from childhood and visiting Zolita.
I am struck by the beautiful photograph of Lil in this notice - it captures her perfectly.

Lily was a great neighbour and a wonderful volunteer to the Barrington Court Residents Association for many years. I recall with joy seeing her roll that ball down toward the pins on numerous occasions with the Prosperous Indoor Bowls Club with a 'steely eye'. Maybe the only time her focus replaced her ever-present smile. Quite simply a lovely gentle lady. May she rest in eternal peace.

Some years ago while playing a bowls match with Lily in the North Kildare Club we discovered we both hailed from the same neck of the woods in Co. Tipperary. A couple of weeks later Lily presented me with a Kilruane McDonagh's mascot she had knitted, which I will always treasure. Lily was an absolute gem and it was my privilege to have known her. May she rest in peace.
