Her late husband Matt was a first cousin of my Dad Michael and as a child I have very fond memories of meeting Maggie and Matt on many occasions in Knockea.

I knew Mrs O'Connor all those years ago, when she was working for my company in New Ross, Meehans Garage. My memories of her are still vivid and we always addressed her as Mrs O'Connor. My experience was that she was occupying a role in the company, which I would describe as the 'mother of the business'. There was a real kindness in her attitude to all of us and I think this is why my memories of Mrs O'Connor are still so vivid.
