Margaret (Mags) BURKE

I am truly saddened to have just read the notice of the passing of Mags. Condolences to Colette, Esther and all Margaret’s family. I worked with Mags in Agriculture/DVO and I echo the tributes, reflections and lovely memories recalled by Pat Lynch and other colleagues and friends. Mags was indeed a character and a lovely person. RIP Mags

Collette. I am shocked and dismayed to read by pure chance that my buddy of old has passed away .We met years ago in the Dept Ag - I was a young culchie and Mgt the glamourous Dub. We had some crack she was a character ! I moved West in 1987 and we last met 30 yrs ago. When I thought of her over the years I smiled .I had fully intended when I retire next year to track her down for a reunion but sadly not to be. My heartfelt sympathy to you and all Mgt's family . So Sad to hear of Margaret's passing and Sincere Condolences to all her Family and Friends. Fond memories of her when I started in Dept of Agriculture she was such a Great Character remembering her Car double parked most days outside the DVO on Merrion Sq. and lots of Parking Tickets inside. I had the privilege of getting to know Margaret, Colette & their beloved Higgins during my time working at UCD Veterinary Hospital. Margaret was a wonderful lady with a heart of gold and I've enjoyed keeping in contact over the years. My thoughts & prayers are with you all.

Devastated is an understatement. My tea buddy, friend, confidant. So glad you got to meet Dolly. Higgins will be the best big brother to her. I'll never have another Tea Buddy like you, with a remote controlled kettle.
